Climate Ready Boston: Rise Up! Workshop

Climate Ready Boston is the City of Boston’s flagship climate mitigation and adaptation strategy.
This workshop will specifically point to projected climate impacts, explore adaptation strategies, and lead attendees in developing effective skills in preparing for those impacts within their own communities. Feedback from the workshop will be shared with the City for use in shaping strategies for strengthening Boston’s climate resiliency.
BSA’s Committee on the Environment (COTE) and the Committee on Resilient Environments (CORE) co-present this workshop as part of the Climate Ready Boston Leaders program.

About the speakers:

Blake Jackson AIA is the Sustainability Design Leader with Stantec-Boston, and his work focuses on implemementing sustainability, wellness, and resiliency across the built environment. He is co-chair of the BSA Committee on the Environment (COTE).

Dave Hampton leads re:ground llc, a resilience strategies consultancy which finds ways to involve everyday people deeply in climate adaptation and community resilience. Dave led post-earthquake recovery and redevelopment in Haiti, holds a Master of Design Studies in Risk and Resilience from Harvard GSD, is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness grant program service provider, and is co-chair of the BSA Committee on Resilient Environments (CORE).

Blake and Dave were both appointed by the City of Boston to the inaugural Climate Ready Boston Leadership program in 2017.
