Advancements in technology, materials and testing methods for the building enclosure have advanced the cause of high performance and sustainable buildings. Buildings today, when properly designed and constructed, are more comfortable, healthier, and better for the environment than buildings constructed in years past. In order to realize such benefits, proper coordination of the design, construction, and field performance testing of enclosure systems is required, and often falls under the Building Enclosure Commissioning Agent (BECxA) services to help coordinate.
