This is a brief report on codes and regulatory activities including the status of pending legislation and Building Code / regulatory changes of interest to Owners, Developers, Architects, and Engineers. Topics include the status of Codes by Boards that oversee areas of building construction and coordination of codes (BCCC) – including status of Plumbing and Fire Codes.

For this 9th session of the 2019 Codes Committee’s annual cycle of code presentations, Senior Staff Engineer Beth Tubbs at the International Codes Council will focus on some high level highlights of codes developments at the ICC.

Beth’s presentation will identify the work of the different Code Groups with a focus on Group A proposals a that are now final and await publication. In addition, Beth will discuss the code interpretation process, some exterior wall code issues and provide an overview of the upcoming code revision process for 2024.
