Building the First Multi-family Passive House in Massachusetts

Conceived as a demonstration project intended to set a replicable standard for high-quality, low-carbon development, The Distillery is the largest Passive House project in Massachusetts. Located near Boston’s Seaport district, the development adds two new buildings to an existing former 19th century rum distillery, which now houses 150 artists, as well as a wide variety of other businesses. The first phase, just completed, includes 28 units with parking, ground level commercial space, a cafe, and a roof deck with 360-degree views of the city. The next phase will add 37 additional units, a 3three-story greenhouse, food store, rooftop growing and greenhouse space, and four commercial shops at street level.

For those who qualify, 1.5 LUs are available.
