Event Description

Design Visualization hosts Warren Schwartz, a founding principal of Schwartz/Silver Architects, sharing his recent book “The Shape of Music” in a lecture and conversation, 6pm April 29th at the BSA Space Salt Gallery. Schwartz’s architectural imagination is deeply rooted by music — his designs draw inspiration from musical elements, translating auditory experiences into visual forms during live performances. In this conversation, we will look at his design process for several acclaimed projects, notably the New England Aquarium, the Rotch Library at MIT and the Tanglewood 2 House as it ties into the interplay between musical compositions and architectural process.
