Life Regions and Cities… Global and Bioregional Realities
Phil Loheed AIA, architect, polymath and president of Earthos Institute, will describe how and why the primary challenge facing designers and policy makers is the unsustainable over-consumption of planetary resources. As if that is not challenge enough, global warming, with climate change and rising seas, add significantly to the need for more sophisticated strategies. This talk explores the current global resource situation and related risk analysis—in the context of Bioregional Urbanism, Earthos Institute’s system to improve resiliency and self-sufficiency—in one Life Region in collaboration with many others.
1.5 LU/HSW AIA credits are available.
