Evolution of a Career with Green Project Designs
Franziska Amacher FAIA, is an architect who has for the past 25 years learned and practiced sustainable design. She applies her experience in green building design, techniques and materials to ero energy buildings. Her projects range from a solar farm house, deep energy retrofits and a Net Zero buildings to an elderly community project (“the elderly need a lot of time to decide”), the first cohousing project in eastern Massachusetts, and the urban design for a self-sufficient community incorporating agriculture. Her recent work with a focus on resource efficiency includes the design of micro units.
