Boston's Growing Neighborhood Gardens

Discover how the Boston Food Forest Coalition works with neighborhood residents and the City of Boston to turn vacant lots into gardens that feed their communities. This session will take place in one of these communities -- the Egleston portion of Jamaica Plain/Roxbury -- beginning at 30 Germania Street (JPNDC's Brewery Complex), NOT at BSA Space. The session will feature a overview presentation by BFFC Executive Director Orion Kriegman on the organization's strategies and results, and a tour of the nearby Egleston Community Orchard (195 Boylston St. in Jamaica Plain), followed by further conversation and refreshments at Bella Luna, back at the Brewery Complex (284 Amory St.) at about 7pm. The meeting point is a 5-minute walk from the Orange Line's Stony Brook station. Learn more about the BFFC at http://bostonfoodforest.org/
