Contemporary and Temporary: Creative Placemaking and Tactical Urbanism

We are in the midst of a public art paradigm shift. As most cities struggle to afford investment in monumental public art and new high quality public realm designs, public spaces are missing the vital programs that aid in full activation potential. How then do planners, architects, artists in collaboration with community members, cities, private entities and grassroots organizations work together to transform these spaces through "creative placemaking.” Hear from a group of diverse panelists on their perspectives on activating public spaces in and around Boston.
