8:00 AM to 8:30 AM Advocacy NewsFeatured speakers: John Nunnari, Executive Director of AIA/MA John Bennett, State Building Inspector, DPS /BBRSThis is a report on codes and regulatory activities including the status of pending bills and Building Code / regulatory changes under review by the Governor's Office under Exec Order 562. Topics include the legislative status of restructuring the boards that oversee all areas of building construction and the coordination of their codes of regulations.

In this fifth meeting in our annual cycle of code presentations, our special invited speakers will highlight some of the significant issues and regulatory requirements of which designers should be aware.Discussion to include an overview of code requirements related to flood plain construction, how to identify applicable flood plain issues; issues that should be documented for design and permits, and where to go for help with flood plain questions.
