This is a report on codes and regulatory activities including the status of pending bills and Building Code / regulatory changes under review by the Governor's Office under Exec Order 562. Topics include the legislative status of restructuring the boards that oversee all areas of building construction and the coordination of their codes of regulations.

Architects and Engineers design buildings and related facilities to withstand certain environmental challenges, one of which is flood loads, as addressed in Section 1612 of the IBC.
In this fifth meeting in our annual cycle of code presentations, our special invited speakers will highlight some of the significant issues and regulatory requirements of which designers should be aware.
Discussion to include an overview of code requirements related to flood plain construction, how to identify applicable flood plain issues; issues that should be documented for design and permits, and where to go for help with flood plain questions.

As a complement to the presentation our speaker will provide a PDF to all attendees who request it.
