Event Description

As Boston’s new Net Zero Carbon (NZC) zoning takes effect on July 1st, large development projects will be required to report Embodied Carbon of Structure and Enclosure. Join us for a practical, knowledge-driven session to find out what this means, hosted by the BSA Sustainability Education Knowledge Community in collaboration with the Carbon Leadership Forum (CLF) Boston Chapter.

This Pecha-Kucha style event will walk through evolving local Embodied carbon reporting requirements, compare leading certifications, and introduce essential tools and design strategies for reducing embodied carbon. Attendees will gain insights into low-barrier Embodied carbon actions like reuse and structural design choices, with resources for continued learning.

Whether you're a designer, architect, engineer, or sustainability professional, this session offers guidance to navigate Embodied carbon requirements and decarbonize your projects with clarity and confidence.
