On Monday, November 10th, MASS will host Abundant Futures / Live, an immersive day of speakers, film, music and performance exploring the world we can imagine—and build—together. The event will take place at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston from 1:00–9:30 PM ET, and will be live streamed for free in partnership with GBH, the event exclusive public media partner.

Abundant Futures / Live brings together architects, scholars, and changemakers whose work points toward a more abundant future—where people and the planet can flourish together. The day will unfold in three sessions:

  • Wellbeing — Featuring First Sounds, a Montreal-based neoclassical trio; Nashira Baril, founder of Boston’s first Neighborhood Birth Center; Amie Shao, MASS principal advancing maternal and newborn health worldwide; Jean appolon expressions, Haitian folkloric dance, and Amy Cuddy, social psychologist and bestselling author.
  • Belonging — With William Kamkwamba, the Malawian innovator from The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, and Jha D Amazi, MASS principal leading groundbreaking memorials across the country.
  • Flourishing — With Deborah Berke, Dean of the Yale School of Architecture and 2025 AIA Gold Medalist, and Sarah Elizaebeth Lewis, Harvard professor and founder of Vision & Justice.

The day will culminate in a headline keynote by Ezra Klein, connecting the event’s themes to his book Abundance.
