Dementia Village: architecture for protected living

Please join the Design for Aging Committee on Tuesday, September 20 for our monthly meeting. We will be brainstorming topics, activities, events, and charrettes for the upcoming months, and look forward to anyone interested in joining the conversation.

We'll also be watching a recent video of Dementia Village in the Netherlands, referred to as "architecture for protected living", where we will learn about specific design elements used to support residents with dementia, costs associated with funding and maintaining the facility, and how the environment works to reduce both cognitive and behavioral problems so often seen with those afflicted with this disease.

For those who qualify, 1.5 LU/HSW are available.
