DFA Partnership with Age-Friendly Boston

Through the BSA Design for Aging (DFA) Committee’s commitment and partnership with Age-Friendly Boston Initiative, several members of DFA were invited to present at the Annual Environments for Aging (EFA) Conference in Austin, TX last month. National interest in the committee's work resulted in engagement in a keynote address and two sessions during the three-day conference.

This meeting will host Andrea Burns, director, of the City of Boston Age Friendly Initiative, who will discuss potential next steps for collaboration. The BSA – Design for Aging Committee is recognized as a partner by the City of Boston and now has the opportunity to provide a voice for Boston’s 60+ residents at the BRA, Parks and Recreation Dept. and Innovation Housing Lab, among other venues.

The future of these nationally recognized project includes sharing opportunities for involvement with the broader design community and allied professions.
