Join the Boston Office of Community Preservation (CPO) for an overview of the Community Preservation Act (CPA) and how it supports affordable housing, historic preservation, open space, and recreation projects across the City of Boston. This session will explain how CPA funding works, the legal and eligibility framework, and the role of the CPA Committee and City Council in awarding funds.
The program will also explore how architects can strategically engage with CPA-funded projects — from early feasibility and scope alignment to preservation standards and capital planning. The session will conclude with an open discussion on how BSA members and the Impact by Design Affinity Group can more intentionally support community-based organizations navigating CPA funding.
This virtual program is ideal for architects working in housing, historic preservation, public realm, and community-serving projects in Boston.
