In today’s competitive, variable, and changing environment, delivering projects successfully on budget, on schedule, and with the integrity of the design intact requires a collaborative, whole team approach. And while delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM at risk, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and LEAN have their merits, they have not proven to consistently deliver the project results the construction industry urgently requires.
After giving an overview of contemporary project delivery challenges and methods, this program introduces a transparent, collaborative and accountable process (IPMA) to enable project managers to: (1) effectively steward resources; (2) handle the competitive selection and management of both the consultant and contracting team, and; (3) complete projects within budget on a schedule consistent with the original design expectation intact. Our distinguished instructors facilitate an interactive learning environment and explore these issues through lectures and case studies of real projects. They will also address the enduring impacts of supply chain disruptions, from COVID-19 to changing tariff rates, on project management, project delivery, and the A/E/C industry.
