Bergmeyer's design helped to unify the historical significance of Boston's Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market with the vision of Boston Beer Company's Jim Koch to bring craft-brewed beer to America. The Samuel Adams Boston Taproom is just a few yards from where a bronze statue of Samuel Adams (Brewer and Patriot) stands today. Enlivening what was an underutilized edge of Dock Square, the building design successfully activates the dormant by introducing a dynamic new gathering space with an open-air roof deck, providing a sweeping vista to one of Boston’s most iconic public squares.
Each and every customer space – the glassy and open rooftop bar, the beer hall with its community tables, the unique master brewer’s tasting table, and the private event room redolent with Boston Beer memorabilia – is designed with a Boston-focused, brand-infused palette and visibility to the innovative on-site brewing process. Like the brand itself, the new Samuel Adams Boston Taproom is pioneering, expressive, and imbued with the spirit of revolution and the ideals of independence.
We will tour the interior and exterior spaces from 5:30-6:30, followed by a casual networking hour in the Taproom.
