MSBA Model School Program Discussion

John Nunnari, AIA Massachusetts executive director will join us to relate his conversation with Jack McCarthy executive director of the MSBA regarding the revised Model School Program. Our discussion will be focused on how the revised program has responded to the 7 points of the original Model School working group document, the results of the revised program in two test-fit communities, and subsequent lessons learned with those two projects. The reduced fee of 4.75 % will also be discussed along with what should and should not be part of the architect’s basic services.

Our goal for the meeting is to not only hear the MSBA’s point of view via John Nunnari but also to determine as a group if there are any further questions or comments that we would like to discuss with the MSBA and the best way to move forward and have that conversation. Please join us to ensure that your voice is heard in this critical discussion.
