Acoustics in Residential Projects

Have you ever been asked by a homeowner to address issues related to noise - noisy neighbors in a condominium building, traffic noise outside of their home, even controlling sound between spaces within the house?

Please join us as Jeff Fullerton of Intertek address these issues and more. The discussion will cover acoustics in residential projects (both single family and multi-family). We will start with people's perception of sound & privacy. Then four typical acoustical concerns for residences will be reviewed: exterior noise isolation, interior sound isolation, equipment noise levels and interior room acoustics. The topics highlight how the architectural design influences these factors to benefit the occupants' sense of comfort and privacy.

Jeff is the department manager for Acoustics, Building Science Solutions at Intertek, with decades of experience consulting with architects on challenging acoustic issues.

This course has been approved for HSW credit for those who qualify.
