The Ethics of Architecture

  • COST

Free and open to the public

  • TYPE

    Knowledge Community

Brad Walker AIA will lead a discussion on the ethical underpinnings of the profession of architecture, including the inherent tension between the architect’s duty to uphold the public’s interest in the built environment and the artist’s duty to be, well, undutiful.

Against that backdrop, this talk, followed by a question and answer session, will pay particular attention to the seemingly more prosaic relationship between employers and employees and what may be some surprising points in the AIA Code of Ethics.

About the facilitator
Brad Walker AIA, principal, Ruhl Walker Architects, is a past Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA) board member and past chair of the AIA National Ethics Council.

For those who qualify, 2.0 LU/HSWs are available.
