There are several Boston-area fellowships and awards—as well as opportunities beyond—available to emerging and other design professionals annually. They provide unique opportunities, including the chance to showcase creativity and skills, get hands-on experience, conduct focused research, and travel the world. Programs provide stipends for periods as short as six weeks or as long as six months to a year.
Learn more about some of these outstanding fellowship opportunities for architects, with application deadlines falling within the year of 2018—some as early as January. Representatives for the following opportunities will be in attendance: the Rotch Travelling Scholarship (the oldest scholarship for architects in the United States, created in 1883); the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) Loeb Fellowship (a prestigious program for designers who are looking to build on their practice); and the Enterprise Community Partners Rose Architectural Fellowship (a fellowship that pairs emerging design professionals with community development organizations).
Additional opportunities discussed will include The American Institute of Architects’ Young Architect Award and the Boston Society of Architects’ Earl R. Flansburgh Young Architect Award.
