Building Sealants: attributes, testing, and lessons learned
The topic of sealants is both broad and at times confusing. Do you know how many sealants are on the market and the differences among them? Do you know which sealant is appropriate for your application? Better yet, do you know which ones are NOT suitable for your project and specified materials? Members of the SGH Building Technology Team have kindly offered to help us navigate this critical design decision. This session will begin with a brief introduction to the various attributes of buildings sealants as well as a review of their various limitations. Following a discussion of some of their project case studies, SGH will allow us to step into their Materials Lab for a hands-on look at common methods for evaluating and identifying sealants.
For those who qualify, 1.5 LUs/HSW are available
