Establishing a Small Practice

Continuing with our series of talks on the variety of business models available to architects for designing successful practices, this month, Brad Walker AIA, LEED AP, founding principal of Ruhl Walker Architects will provide insight, in a Q & A format, on his experiences in practice. Topics may also include the business issues which Scott Simpson and John Swift presented at last month's meeting, including the essentials of marketing (how to get work), operations (how to organize the business), professional services (how to put creativity to work) and finance (how to count the money).

Brad is also the past chair of the AIA National Ethics Council, and will talk to us about the AIA Code of Ethics, the differences between the AIA Code and MA licensing laws regarding the practice of architecture, referral fees, and protocols for taking credit for projects working at previous offices, etc.

For those who qualify, 1.5 LUs are available.
