Something Serious is Happening

Some serious AEC industry collaboration is afoot to prepare today’s students for real-world design and construction careers, and Consigli Construction Company's Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager, Alicia Cox, is in the mix. Teaching five classes at Wentworth Institute of Technology on BIM and MEP/FP Coordination in the AEC Industry, Alicia is part of the Boston Society of Architects BIM Roundtable effort to take BIM education to local architecture, engineering and construction management classrooms. Through joint efforts of BIM Roundtable members including Consigli and Payette, along with schools like Wentworth, students are gaining a new level of hands-on exposure to building information modeling directly from industry professionals using actual building project examples.
