What do you think of MIBA?

You’re probably asking yourself "What in the world is MIBA?" It stands for the Massachusetts Integrated BIM Initiative, a new idea for Massachusetts agencies and institutions to develop a consistent approach to project planning and execution using BIM. It was introduced this month by Massport and met with very positive response from leaders at DCAMM, MSCBA, MSBA, MBTA, and various universities.

Would a single government BIM initiative work in Massachusetts? With not all state agencies currently at the same level of BIM implementation and with different project types, the development of MIBA will certainly have its challenges. The benefits of such an approach are numerous for all stakeholders in the BIM process. We want to hear your thoughts. Please join us for a brief presentation and collaborative discussion.
