Visualize Design with Augmented Reality (AR)
The launch of Pokémon Go in 2016 exposed the powerful merging of physical and digital worlds to millions within a few days. As Augmented Reality (AR) continues to disrupt numerous industries, we want to better understand how to integrate the physical and digital more strategically and seamlessly within the AEC industry. In our context of investigating the importance of visualization to our design process, we'll ask the big question: "How can we use AR to visualize design?"
In this session, the development team of Microsoft Hololens 2 and Umbra3D will demonstrate their respective AR visualization hardware and software technology along with a few other surprises. Bring your curiosity and examples to participate in the conversation!
In addition, to continue growing our visualization community, we will introduce a segment of mini fast-paced presentation in which 3 presenters will each have a total of 3 minutes to share 3 slides. If you would like to share your creative visualizations, please contact Nikki or Mike via email.
