In Conversation with Martha Davis, Communications Officer at MIT Museum

Join Martha Davis as she shares her distinctive efforts promoting the MIT Museum, working inter-departmentally with Exhibitions, Curatorial, Education, Operations, Development, and Digital Strategy. Learn how she positions the museum in a very competitive landscape, aiming to build awareness and attract new audiences.

Martha Davis oversees the marketing and public relations efforts of the MIT Museum, with the ultimate goal of building awareness for the Museum and growing its audience. Since arriving in November 2017, she has refreshed the Museum’s creative, making it more inviting and accessible, and designed and executed winning promotional campaigns around exhibitions and programs.

Martha is well versed in strategic planning, media placement, creative direction, media outreach, data analysis, web content, social media engagement and targeting, and surveys. She works cross-departmentally, lending years of experience and expertise to other areas of the Museum including Exhibitions, Programs and Education, Operations, Development, and Digital Strategy. Prior to joining the MIT Museum, Martha worked for more than a decade at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
