Ethical Marketing / AIA Code of Ethics

Join us for a brief presentation and discussion by The BSA Ethics Committee* about the AIA’s Code of Ethics and how it is relevant to our activities as Marketing and Public Relations professionals. Ethical marketing seeks to promote honesty, fairness, and responsibility. Everyone has subjective judgments about what is “right” and what is “wrong” and for this reason, ethical marketing is not a hard and fast list of rules, but a general set of guidelines. The Ethics Committee hopes to learn from us about ethics-related issues we face in our roles which will help to shape the Ethics Committee’s future activities. How can we do our part to support and promote ethical marketing within the AEC industry? Please come ready to share your thoughts about ethical issues you may have encountered.

*The BSA Ethics Committee is charged with reviewing or mediating matters pertaining to professional ethics violations by AIA members in Massachusetts. In addition, and in keeping with the ideals set forth in the BSA Statement of Policy Principles and by 'The Future of Practice' theme for 2018 advanced by BSA President Jay Wickersham FAIA, the Ethics Committee is committed to promoting an appreciation of the broad range of ethical issues that affect us as professionals.
