Artist Statement

Every space, natural and manmade, has not just its physical characteristics, but both a personality and a mood that have a profound effect on how we experience it. This sense of place is strongly affected by many things, including the weather, the lighting or time of day, and the other people, if any, who share the space. I try to capture moments when this more ethereal aspect of the physical world speaks strongest to me.
