ABX Spotlight: Renée Loth
Name: Renée Loth
How are you participating in ABX 2016?
I’m honored to be moderating a session on Wednesday at 10:00 am with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and a distinguished panel of experts involved in various aspects of housing production, as we work toward “Getting to Yes” on housing affordability. The current (Winter 2016) issue of ArchitectureBoston, called “Domicile," is all about trying to solve Greater Boston’s housing supply crunch, and this panel will deepen the discussion around the critical issues raised in the magazine.
Your top three conference or speaker picks at ABX 2016?
B24: Boston You’re Our Home: Getting to yes on housing; A02: Rethink City Hall: Master Plan for Boston City Hall Plaza; and the Design for Equity Charrette.
What about the future of the building industry most excites you?
Architects and designers are natural-born problem-solvers, and I’m excited to see how they tackle the toughest issues facing us today: climate change, equity in housing and transportation, our aging population—always keeping design excellence at the forefront of the conversation!
