Despite State order, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh extends construction ban
Boston construction sites to remain closed for now.
On Wednesday, March 25, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh extended a 14-day construction ban meant to halt the spread of COVID-19 and the coronavirus. In a separate action, on Wednesday, Mayor Joseph Curtatone, ordered construction remained halted in Somerville, MA, as well. Earlier that day, Governor Charles Baker ordered construction, considered an essential service, to resume.
