RememberingMay 11, 2022 Share ↗ Remembering Jill Verhosek AIA Jill Verhosek passed away surrounded by family and friends on April 30th, 2022. Jill is survived by her parents Larry and Lan Verhosek, her brother Bill and wife Rhoda Verhosek, her sister Lynne Verhosek and partner Linda Stoeckert, and her nephew and niece Edward and Dasha whom she adored. Growing up in North Charleston, SC she graduated with honors from R. B. Stall High School, class of ‘95. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Design from Clemson University, class of ‘99 and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania, class of ‘06. She earned her architecture license in 2018. A Senior Associate at Goody Clancy, a Boston design firm, Jill was an essential member of the firm’s preservation practice group and the technical advisor on their most prestigious and complex projects throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Jill was a strong, smart, inspiring woman who many were lucky to call a friend and colleague.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Jill to the Northeast Chapter of the Association of Preservation of Technology (APTNE), where she served as a board member. Remembering Michael Hicks AIA EmeritusDavid Michael Hicks, known as Michael, died from Lewy Body Dementia at the age of 77 on June 6 at Harbor Point, a memory care community in Barnstable. Michael was President of the BSA from 2000 to 2001. After receiving a Master in Architecture from Harvard University, Michael worked for several architectural firms before becoming a co-founder of a firm, currently known as DHK.RememberingJun 15, 2022
