"CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Patrick Tedesco of Cambridge, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family and his Hospice care team.

Born in Syracuse, New York on June 6, 1966, he was the son of Dr. William Tedesco of Glens Falls and the late Patricia (O’Neil) Tedesco.

Patrick graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Glens Falls in 1984. He was a 1989 graduate of Notre Dame University School of Architecture, including a year of study in Rome, Italy. He received a Masters of Architecture and Urban Planning from the Graduate School of Design of Harvard University.

At the time of his death he was a principal at NBBJ, a global architecture and design firm in Boston. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, The Society of College and University Planners and the Boston Society of Architects where he was the former chairman of urban design. He also served on the Cambridge City Zoning Appeals Board. He collaborated on many design projects across the county and overseas, leaving the world a more beautiful place.

Besides his mother, Patrick was predeceased by his brother, Brian.

Survivors include his wife, Vionette Matos; his son, Lucas, age 16, and his daughter, Camila, age 14; his brother, Michael (Merek); and his two sisters, Kate Tedesco of New York City and Maureen Bannister of Richmond, Virginia; and his nieces and nephews, Carlisle, Teddy, Molly and Michael.

He was a lover of art, music and literature, always seeking knowledge and truth. When reasonable treatment options were no longer available for his cancer, he chose comfort for his last few months during which time he was able to spend quality time with those he loved — family, friends and associates from around the country.

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours, and burial will be private.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 18 Belvedere St., Boston.
