Discover the spaces that bring us together—both by design and by happenstance—in In Common: Sites of Encounter, a new exhibition at BSA Space in Boston. Free and open to all, this exhibition explores the wide range of places where connection happens, from the grand to the everyday. Whether it’s a library or a stairwell, a skatepark or a dorm room, each space reveals how environments can foster civic dialogue, rebellious energy, quiet reflection, or shared joy. Through a dynamic blend of design projects, In Common invites you to reflect on your own experiences of gathering and community.
Featuring work by architects, designers, and affiliated professionals from the Boston and Eastern Massachusetts design community, In Common offers a vivid snapshot of our region’s impact on the built environment. Past, present, and future projects by members of BSA/AIA take center stage, demonstrating how thoughtful design helps shape the social fabric of our neighborhoods and cities. Visit BSA Space to experience how spaces of encounter—both planned and improvised—contribute to a more connected, vibrant, and resilient world.
