As practicing professionals, you are fully aware of the importance of building codes in the work you do. For those that may not be aware, the BBRS is responsible for the promulgation of our states building code, and for more than a year they have been working to prepare the next edition of our states building code, the 10th edition, for promulgation.

On April 18, the BSA and its Urban Design Committee, the City of Boston and MassDOT hosted a participatory design workshop to generate potential design solutions for key moments of the future “Allston Esplanade,” the area that will be created as a result of the planned rebuilding of the I-90 interchange and Allston Viaduct in Boston.

On February 27, 2019, almost 100 people filled BSA Space’s Salt gallery for the Designing Boston: Building Community Panel.

“I’m not here because I’m female. I’m here because I’m qualified,” became a refrain following a screening of Sista in the Brotherhood at BSA Space. Sista is a short film about a black tradeswoman who faces discrimination on a new job site and must choose between making a stand or keeping her job.
