Jury comments: This really is a uniquely Boston gingerbread house! We were blown away by this submission on this climate forward triple-decker! There are clever decisions throughout the design—the pretzel windows, marshmallows railings, and more!
G.B. Triple-D
By MASS Architect
Jury comments: Rendering a firm's project could be daunting, but this one is masterfully done. Great attention to detail throughout. A real artistic approach to color & texture with icing and candy. It looks like the real thing!

Jury comments: They really took this above and beyond, especially with the ornamentation of the buildings. It really feels like the North End, with the brickwork, copper-clad bay windows and gutters. Real sense of place with this entry.

Young Designers Award: Brother and Sister Houses
Jury comments: We are grateful for young designers who center communal living! Love the different types of houses and their candy decorations—lots of detail. The cookie walking path (with candy!) really shows how you get around the site. And the gingerbread car looks good enough to... eat or drive.

Inspiring Collaboration Award: Gingerbread HanokJury comments: Love the theme of true collaboration and multigenerational involvement. Anyone can take a gingerbread house and put it up—but not this group. They took their gingerbread and delivered something really exciting and unique. How did they get that roof to stand up?! The gingerbread pieces also look perfectly baked.

Most Realistic Award: Hut HausJury comments: An incredible piece, the cantilever alone is a sight to see. A unique deployment of that brownie foundation technology to create an exceptionally difficult site. Picturesque—looks like a holiday card. The sketch was also incredible!
