The BSA Awards Gala takes place annually, recognizing the excellent projects and people that make up our community. This year, we held a virtual Gala, and were delighted to see so many familiar names and faces on screen. It was a warm ceremony on a cold night, spent celebrating the work, achievements, and collaboration of those who make up the BSA. Congratulations to all those who were recognized at the 2021 BSA Awards Gala and to everyone who had a part to play in each of the projects awarded!

The 2021 issue of the Homeowner's Project Handbook is back with greater opportunities than ever before! The handbook provides homeowners with everything they could need from inspiration, financial worksheets and insightful articles, to the only official directory of licensed AIA architects in Massachusetts.

Conversations about racial equity have stimulated new ways of thinking about diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. As architects, we have substantial work to do within our own profession to include, mentor, sponsor, and provide leadership opportunities for BIPOC architects. Our contributions to our clients, our communities, and our world suffer because of the narrow breadth of viewpoints and life experiences within our profession. We need to act now. Please be one the voices to help us create meaningful change.

On February 25th, the BSA invited members to join its first ever EDI Town Hall to learn about national and local initiatives taking place around EDI and, in turn, to hear from members about what they think the BSA can and should do to address these urgent matters.

The College of Fellows is the AIA’s highest membership honor. Members are elevated for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. Less than three percent of the architecture profession achieve AIA Fellowship.
