Each year the Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA/AIA), often in collaboration with other organizations, sponsors awards programs to honor design excellence in Massachusetts, throughout New England, and beyond. Design Awards celebrate outstanding architecture and reward clients for investing in good design.
7th Annual Gingerbread House Design Competition
Now in its seventh year, the Gingerbread Design Competition and Exhibition is a fun and tasty way to highlight the delicious talents of Boston landscape and architecture firms. This year’s theme is “Rep your arch’ style,” enabling participants to create Gingerbread structures interpreting their favorite architectural style. As always, teams are encouraged to submit creative versions of the theme.
E+ Green Communities: Highland and Marcella Street Sites
The E+ Green Building Program will demonstrate the feasibility of regenerative multi-unit residential buildings and bring energy and environmentally positive homes to Boston’s neighborhoods. These proposal submissions show that regenerative buildings are achievable and not beholden to a particular esthetic.
BSA/AIA 150th Anniversary Timeline
The Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA) celebrates its sesquicentennial anniversary in 2017. To celebrate its history as its gaze turns toward the future, this year-long timeline exhibition gives an overview of accomplishments in design excellence over the past 150 years.
