Job responsibilities have shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic. This immersive virtual era includes many more tasks that involve agile communications, as well as relationship and management skills. This culture shift and more is addressed in a six-week intensive leadership workshop.

Young professionals may be experiencing skills gaps, especially while siloed from teammates. These interactive seminars are designed to proactively and strategically improve their performance, add value, and increase versatility in a firm.

By interacting with peers from other companies (and industries), participants in Design and Construction Leadership, a new YDPDI program, will gain valuable perspectives on not only their current work performance, but also insights on how to do things better. At the end of the series, designers will learn how to become a better writer, communicator, leader, and team member. Employers will gain increased and improved performance in areas that are important to take on new tasks; making this program a worthy investment.

YDPDI is the winner of the AIA Emerging Professionals Program of the Year Award. Past participants have said:

"One of the greatest benefits of YDPDI for our firm’s participants is the opportunity to observe and learn from other firms. The architecture community can sometimes be somewhat closed. Interacting with their peers from other companies gives our employees great perspective on things we do well, as well as on things that we can do better. YDPDI also provides them with an outlet for ideas, frustrations and problem- solving in a neutral, supportive environment."

Spreading the series over six, 2-hour sessions enables participants to put strategies and skills learned to work in between sessions.

The Boston Society of Architects is pleased to offer this program in collaboration with AIA San Francisco and AGC Massachusetts. This cooperation will result in a diversity of industry participants that will enrich and strengthen the value of the program for everyone. Discounts are available for BSA members and multi-pack registrations.
