For the first time, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is sending architects to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), taking place in Glasgow, Scotland from October 31–November 12, 2021.

The race for mayor in Boston is going strong. Ahead of the primary election on September 14, mayoral candidates took part in a forum hosted by the BSA, during which they answered questions from audience members and each other.

The Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure package (H.R. 3684) includes some important policies to improve the energy-efficiency and resilience of America's buildings. This is a positive step forward, but there is much more to do. Contact your Member of the U.S. House of Representatives to urge them to support investments in the building sector in BOTH infrastructure bills Congress will consider this year.

Congratulations to Emily Grandstaff-Rice FAIA on being elected 2023 AIA President-Elect! Emily was 2014 BSA President and is an active member of the BSA. Emily has been a passionate advocate for women in the profession and we look forward to seeing her influence at a national level.

Now is the time for the Biden Administration and Congress to address America's aging building infrastructure. Let your member of Congress know—AIA supports federal investment in our aging building infrastructure and needs bipartisan solutions to address those critical needs.
