Architecture is everywhere, and you can find Boston Society for Architecture members almost anywhere, too, even in the classroom. They were there this past spring, and no, they weren't lost. They belonged to a team of volunteers who visited classes in Boston and Cambridge to encourage young children to think more expansively about their neighborhoods and communities.

David Michael Hicks, known as Michael, died from Lewy Body Dementia at the age of 77 on June 6 at Harbor Point, a memory care community in Barnstable. Michael was President of the BSA from 2000 to 2001. After receiving a Master in Architecture from Harvard University, Michael worked for several architectural firms before becoming a co-founder of a firm, currently known as DHK.

Last year's Wagdy Anis and Intersections symposia brought together design professionals, students, members of the public, and more. Now, submissions are open for proposals and abstracts for the 2022 events, with due dates approaching soon.
